Yes, laser surgery (RIRS/URS) is very safe and effective. It involves no cuts (is endoscopic), less bleeding, and a very quick recovery compared to open surgery.

Symptoms include frequent urination (especially at night), weak urine flow, difficulty starting urination, and a feeling of incomplete bladder emptying.

Not necessarily. Small stones (usually < 5mm) can often pass out with plenty of fluids and medication. Larger stones causing pain or blockage usually require intervention.

If the kidney was healthy before the blockage and the stone is treated promptly, kidney function often recovers fully. Long-standing blockage can cause permanent damage.
